Unid pseudo time signal

Igor found a new pseudo time signal station on 8316,9 kHz at 0640 UTC, on 6 September. He thinks that it is Chinese. Info is most welcome.

Here are his observations:

Minute interval consists of 28 slow dots and series of 5 "V"s (VVVVV). The last "V" ends on the 59th second. At 0659 UTC the dots suddenly stopped and a message was sent at a higher speed.

M10E

The regular daily transmissions ceased on 3 March. There was one log at 1200 on Thursday 13 April on 9950, but no other logs since then. It is quite possible that they are still around, but changing times each day. The 28 day sked of the morse and S10E is still active on the same frequencies. M10E 0900 on 5019 and S10E on 10642 at 1300 Dates 27 July 24 August 21 September and so on.

M12

Activity seems to have declined although it is not so easy to find now that the call is only 2 minutes. The daily sked at 1600 to 749 is still running. Messages sent on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Normally null message for rest of week, although there was a recent log of a message sent on a Thursday. Other skeds Tuesday and Thursday at 0800, 0820 and 0840. Wednesday at 1830, 1850 and 1910. Friday at 1840, 1900 and 1920. This one usually sends very long messages, highest GC so far is 347.

M13

Very active, we would like to hear from anyone in the USA who is able to listen for M13 during the hours of 2300 to 0400. Ids active 123, 135, 203, 253, 254, 284, 272, 411, 417, 517. 261 and 590 share the same agent, 590 is used when a long message is sent. There are also 3 other groups that change Ids each month, so there are 36 Ids in use for only three groups.

See also Newsletter 32.

M14

No recent changes. M14A still continues with its 3 regular skeds on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1900 UTC.

See also Newsletter 45.

M17

M23

The regular transmissions on 7795 ended in March, but have recently restarted in May at 0930 and 1500. Another regular is on at 1000 on 7800. There has also been another log of a transmission in the evening using the letter I as the call up. It was sent for about 45 seconds. This station tends to repeat the same message for many months. It has until recently been sending the same messages that were first sent in October 1999.

See also Newsletter 39 .

Ids in use 002, 024, 062, 080, 406, 448, 482, 606, 624, 660, 666, 880, and 882. It has been sending more of the 3 figure calls without any messages, in June 0700, 1830, and 1900 UTC on 5670 kHz, ids 505 & 320. The long running 579 at 0800 and 1400 daily is still going.
