XSL - Slot Machine

First time contributor Robert Fei checks in with an interesting note.

Welcome to N&O, Robert!

We already knew that the Slot Machine transmits from the Far East. Robert thinks that the signals actually originate from Japan. He says "If you compare the frequencies used by the Japanese 8-tone ASK modem: 4152.5 4294.5 6249.5 6392.5 8312.5 8551 12384.5 12924 and 16553.5 kHz. You will find that some of them have been replaced by the "Slot Machine" which operates on the following frequencies: 4231 4290.5 6416.5 6444.5 8587.5 8703.5 4152.5 6249.5 8312.5 kHz. By the way, this "machine" could be sort of PSK or QAM modulated according to it's FFT spectrum during the traffic mode. Detailed FFT can be found at http://www.geocities.com/hfasia/files/Japanese-PSK.html"

Interesting. The 8-tone modem is thought to be operated by the Japanese navy. Is this a step in the right direction to solve this unid? Any thoughts or further info is most welcome, folks.
