Hot, hot, hot. We had the hottest summer ever recorded in Holland. So I hope you'll understand that I haven't tuned in much this month and looking at the input, it looks like I'm not the only one. I am glad that Fritz has sent me his findings :-) Nonetheless it is a very short N&O this time. Please, don't forget to send me your logs and info.

Press release:

"UK band Spunkle has released a set of songs called "Music for DXing" that are inspired by the hunt for signals. There's some XP inspired tunes as well as some more challenging pieces, and they nearly all feature the flotsam of the airwaves.
The artist figured that fellow listeners might want to hear them, and is interested in how "listenable" the collection is, given that some dxers don't seem to mind listening to the assorted fizzes of HF!"

"Music for Dxing" is online at http://1104.ca/dav for a limited time.
If you like this record, please contact Captain Davros.

Two other numbers related tunes created by Spunkle are "XPH" and "the Buzzer". Both are inspired by...... guess what :-)

Jochen is one of our regular contributors. He collects recordings of numbers stations and he is especially interested in G15 and G16 recordings from 1980's, 1970's or earlier. If you can help him, drop him a line.
