KIEV, March 1 (Itar-Tass) -- Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has dismissed Foreign Intelligence Service head Oleg Sinyavsky, the presidential press service told Itar-Tass. Sinyavsky headed the Foreign Intelligence Service last October, when the service was established on the basis of the intelligence department and regional intelligence divisions of the Ukrainian Security Service.

The National Counterintelligence Executive (NCIX) unveiled a new counterintelligence strategy, approved by the President on March 1.
